partnership of voluntary and willing participants. Our mission is to preserve
wetlands, riparian areas, and associated uplands through community partnerships,
conservation, enhancement, restoration, creation, and education. The area of
focus is southwest Colorado and its drainages that extend into New Mexico and
Utah.

Preservation of threatened wetlands requires a combination of commitment, expertise, funding, and coordination among partners. The Adopt-a-Wetland program addresses multiple challenges through volunteer stewardship provided by groups committed to community service.
